A wild trout and a perch from the pond. Very good with our local fantastic white wine: le Jasnières.
During a birthday party of guests a "Grand Paon de Nuit", the largest butterfly in Europe, visited us.
The Cottage, next to the Chateau, offers 2 self catering flats, "Glycines" and "Lilas". Marnie brought the last touch, tulips from the garden.
Bye bye Winter, the first guests will arrive soon... Flowers from our garden in Grande Salle à Manger and Salon Rose.
3 fantastic weeks in an amazing country!
New Year's Day at Leonardo da Vinci House in Amboise, Loire Valley. Sieur Sauzin is a worldwide specialist of Gastronomy during the Renaissance period, and works together with the Historic Academy in Paris developing the menus in accordance with the receipes of the 16th century. He recently served the luncheon at Chambord castle, hosted by President Nicolas Sarkozy for the European Ambassadors.
New Year's Eve was celebrated in the Grande Salle à Manger with elegance and gastonomic splendours of the season : foie gras and it's fig confit, lobster from Brittany, the usual "trou normand", veal filet with morilles, cheeses and a festive dessert, accompanied by four different wines. Guests from Texas and California provided delightful company.
